We understand finances can be a barrier for those wishing to participate in a missions trip.

That being said, we will be providing you with ways to help fundraise–be sure to attend our info meeting on April 28! Additionally, if finances are a concern we encourage you to reach out to us. If you are feeling called to this trip–we want to help you make it happen!

THE MISSION

Our RiverTree family has experienced life-changing moments through our long-standing partnerships with missions in Aliquippa.

In western Pennsylvania, the small town of Aliquippa saw growth and prosperity with the establishment of a mill by the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company in 1905. By the 1940s, Aliquippa had evolved into a thriving community with around 30,000 residents.

However, when J & L Steel shut down the mill in the 1980s, Aliquippa encountered significant challenges. The closure led to a rise in poverty rates due to decreased job opportunities, causing the town's population to dwindle to approximately 9,000 residents today. This decline has left many businesses and homes abandoned, with over 90% of students in Aliquippa schools depending on subsidized lunches.

We partner with local missionary Scott Branderhorst in Aliquippa, who has prioritized building trust and community connections. Mission trips benefit Aliquippa and transform their lives, but this trip does amazing work in our own hearts and lives. Experience real-time life transformation and witness God's faithfulness through leaps of faith.
