Our Aliquippa Mission Trip is perfect for families and individuals wanting to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, while still accommodating busy schedules. The trip, running from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon, is conveniently located less than two hours away in Aliquippa, needing only one day off work.

July 25 - 28, 2024

We will depart from RiverTree Jackson on Thursday, July 25 at 4PM. We will return to RiverTree Jackson on Sunday, July 28 at 3PM. Each individual or family will be responsible for their own transportation. We can carpool and caravan down together
Aliquippa Missions Trip is for EVERYONE! Individual adults, families, married couples, young adults, your entire small group...EVERYONE!

This trip is child-friendly and we encourage families of all ages to go! However, we suggest children be at least 6 years old due to the type of service projects being done.

Tents, campfires & a chance to unplug.

We camp out on 80 acres of private property complete with ponds, various hiking trails, a picnic pavilion, sitting areas, a volleyball court, and a bocce ball court. You can swim and fish in the ponds, take walks and enjoy evening campfires. We will shower at the YMCA.

Yes! We are tent sleeping! It is encouraged to bring your own. However, if you do not have one, just let us know! Don't worry, if weather is not favorable, we will stay at a local church.

Delicious meals will be provided throughout the trip or the opportunity to cook your own meals over a campfire.
$175 per person

We understand finances can be a barrier for those wishing to participate in a missions trip.

That being said, we will be providing you with ways to help fundraise–be sure to attend our info meeting on April 28! Additionally, if finances are a concern we encourage you to reach out to us. If you are feeling called to this trip–we want to help you make it happen!

Our RiverTree family has experienced life-changing moments through our long-standing partnerships with missions in Aliquippa.

In western Pennsylvania, the small town of Aliquippa saw growth and prosperity with the establishment of a mill by the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company in 1905. By the 1940s, Aliquippa had evolved into a thriving community with around 30,000 residents.

However, when J & L Steel shut down the mill in the 1980s, Aliquippa encountered significant challenges. The closure led to a rise in poverty rates due to decreased job opportunities, causing the town's population to dwindle to approximately 9,000 residents today. This decline has left many businesses and homes abandoned, with over 90% of students in Aliquippa schools depending on subsidized lunches.

We partner with local missionary Scott Branderhorst in Aliquippa, who has prioritized building trust and community connections. Mission trips benefit Aliquippa and transform their lives, but this trip does amazing work in our own hearts and lives. Experience real-time life transformation and witness God's faithfulness through leaps of faith.
