Our Pastoral Resident
Adam McMahan
Hi, my name is Adam McMahan and I am the Pastoral Resident at RiverTree Jackson. My wife, Dr. Lindsey McMahan, and I have two children; Mackenzie (9) and Grady (6). In February 2020, I left a 15-year career in banking to pursue a deeper purpose for my life, beginning with a Master's Degree in Practical Theology from Ohio Christian University. In October of 2021, after receiving my Master's Degree, God led me into a relationship with Pastor Alex Poindexter of Polaris Christian Church in my hometown of Brunswick, Ohio. Since then, the Lord has orchestrated a new partnership between Polaris and RiverTree allowing me to learn from and contribute to His Kingdom!
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing golf, rooting for the Cavs, Guardians, and Browns, or sometimes I’ll even watch good teams... I am a published author, GodKward: Finding Purpose in My Journey from Addiction into Recovery (2018). I enjoy spending time in God's word, writing/journaling, listening to worship music and even learning to play the piano. In May of 2018, I remember vividly God saying to me, "Go be!" I am excited and expectant as I continue to chase after the calling God has placed on my life.
I feel remarkably blessed to be able to learn from the leadership staff at RiverTree and Polaris and do not take lightly the amazing opportunity that I've been given. Whether God leads me to plant a RiverTree campus up north or has other plans in store, I am trusting in Him. If you feel led to give, know that I welcome and appreciate your generosity. If you feel led to pray, know that I cherish your prayers. If you feel led to be an encouragement, know that I cannot wait to meet you! I am honored to serve alongside you.
Humbly,
Adam
